Wesley Community Action (WCA) has been operating social services and providing low-cost accommodation to low-income residents of the Wellington region for over 50 years, being a pioneer of not-for-profit social housing.
WCA is currently one of the largest community NGO providers of social housing for older people in the Wellington region. It provides low cost housing for families with young children, older adults and other vulnerable groups with housing needs. WCA adopts a strengths-based approach and supports families in crisis, manages foster care placements for young people, engages in community development with a focus on food security and financial independence, and works with older people to enable them to continue living independently.
